Social Work Intern
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of (2-6) mentees.

Act as a liaison between mentor and school faculty, guidance counselors.

Develop relationships with social service, community health, and human service agencies.

Support the Program Coordinator in the mentorship matching procedures.

Collaborate with school counselors to onboard mentee program participants and families.
-
Maintain an active registry of referral sources to support the needs of children & families.

Meet with the mentor and student to develop a measurable Youth Development Plan (YDP)

Maintain updated encounter logs, progress notes, and submit all required reports on time.

Facilitate collaborative meetings with the mentorship team to discuss the progression of the YDP.

Attend all required field instruction meetings as scheduled by Field Instructor and/or university.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Enrolled MSW student (2nd year).
-
Youth development and/or families services work experience a plus.
Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills (public speaking experience a plus).

Office365, Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:

Engaging in and coordinating indoor and outdoor activities that may involve heavy lifting, climbing stairs, and standing or sitting for prolong lengths of time.

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
